The OnikaFaree Wedding {Part 1}

*The day is here enjoy*

Nicki woke up at 6 am on her wedding day. She thought to herself about all the things she has been thru her entire life and now she gets a new start, a new beginning, a new life. She could no longer be a bad girl or rub all up on male and female models. She now belonged to someone by the end of today. As the sun rose from the horizon she prayed to the Lord

“Dear Lord, Thank you for waking me and my family up, you didn’t have to do that but you did, thank you for the many of blessings you sent me Lord, thank you for the fans you have blessed me with, I ask that you blessed them all one by one and name by name. Lord I come as humble as I know how to you oh Lord, Forgive me and cleanse me of my sins of the past, take all of the burdens off my back, release me of the guilt I felt for years. Lord, as I step into this marriage with Safaree Lloyd Samuels, I ask that you bless us, bless the children we create, bless our love that it will be everlasting. I ask that you bless me with wisdom and knowledge to know the difference and understanding. Protect us lord from evil and all hurt harm and danger. I ask that all of my friends stick with me thru out this transition of womanhood. Lord, I ask that you bless my family and my church family that I haven’t seen in years but today we meet again. Lord, I know your shining down on my, you’ve forever sent me blessings back to back. But today lord I ask that you send my grandmother down to be with me spiritually, I love her. Lord, I promise to put no man before you and no false idols before you. There is only one god and that’s you. Lord, thank you for blessing me with Safaree because you knew my struggle with men. I forgave the man you sent me to raise me, my father. I love everyone like you lord, I don’t hate anybody. I’m dropping off all of my harsh feelings today and I will try and live my married life the holy way. Lord, I thank you I praise your name Lord. AMEN.”

She drifted off to sleep in her patio chair in a white robe as the morning breeze hit her face. Around 2 hours later 8 am her mother comes and wakes her up.

“Nicki hunny, I made breakfast I want you to try and eat. Terrence and day will be on their way over here along with your bridal party.”

“Ok momma good morning! Today is the day”

“I know are you ready?”

“I never been more ready”

Nicki walked into the room to see her 3 best friends on the bed chatting waiting for her to come in. when she walked in she was rubbing her eyes and stretching by the time she raised her hands up to stretch she was barricaded with hugs and awe’s. Candice started to cry

“Omg my nick knack from the block is finna get married”

Lauren put a hand on Candice shoulder

“Yes she is, she’s a woman now” Lauren said like Anika Noni Rose from dream girls

The ladies laughed. They all sat down and had breakfast and Carol cried after breakfast. She just couldn’t believe she was the mother of the bride.

Nicki thought about her barbs and said

“I wonder how their bathroom situation is going they are probably all over there screamin and bumping into each other. Oop!”

“Having shower fight talkin about get out cause the water going to be cold” Diamond said

They ladies laughed.

“I should call them and see what’s going on”

“No, Nicki you have no time” Lauren said

As soon as she said that Terrence and day walked in the door ready to turn the Natural Barbie into a master piece of art.

The barbs all woke up and started rushing to the bathrooms. It was 2 bathrooms per suite. Each bathroom was a full bathroom with shower and a tub. So there would be 2 barbs per bathroom. This was an all-day thing. Hair spray, oil sheen was the mist of the air as they all tried to get dressed at the same time. It was hot and Smokey from the flat irons being used and it was 6 barbs to a suite. Barbs were everywhere! People screamin and running from room to room. Once in a while you would see a boob flop out or a butt bent over. They didn’t care all they worried about was seeing the queen and her big day. It was like 10 barbs and 2 ken barbs who knew how to do hair and cut hair, so it was just the amount of time they had to complete 46 heads that’s half of the group who didn’t have a pre- done hair due or needed a touch up.

Jessie went to every room calling out the barbs and ken barbs names to make sure everyone was dressed and if they wanted breakfast or lunch because it was around 12 pm. The wedding started promptly at 6pm so Jessie needed to make sure everyone was in their place at that time. She did roll call thru all the chaos

“Damn these barbs are crazy, I missed my bitches though” Jessie said to herself laughing

Jessie started at the beginning of the hall and all she could see was white towels in the hall way and other stuff that just didn’t belong. She knew every door was open so she just screamed out the names. Every barb had a different but funny response

She wasn’t even dressed herself and she knew she had to do that before 3 and it was 12 and it was going to take her 3 hours to get dress so she ran back to the go cart to head back to the mansion to get dress. She made calls to martin and told him that the barbs are set and they are getting ready.

In the hallways was loud but Nicki bought out the hotel just for them so it didn’t matter. They were playing popping bras and runny stocking in the hall way. The smell of fried hair was in the air. On the dressers and beds was every inch of Indian and Brazilian hair you can think of starting with 8 inches to 22 inches.

“Aye pass me that curler out of the mini iron stove, carebear” pinkmunybarbie said while pointing and shaking her finger at the mini stove

“Look how you aint going to be bossing me around” care bear said to muny as they laughed. Muny was doing Kouturebarbs hair. Her hair was sandy brown that stopped in the middle of her back. She was Carmel skinned and had hazel brown eyes. She sort of sounded like Toni Braxton with a deep voice.

“Bitch doesn’t burn me” couture told muny looking back while muny was blowing the curling iron and twirling it in the air to cool off.

“Look how you know I know what the hell I’m doing now chill out and turn your ass around” muny said laughing slightly

On the other side of the room was Minajvstheworld and ibodyybitches. IBB was trying to sow a huge light pink bow to the side of her dress. It was rare that IBB wore dresses so she wanted it to be special when she did wear it,

“UGH who the fuck want war, I think this damn bow do and this messy ass glue gun” IBB said looking up to a laughing Talisa Minajvstheworld

“Let me see Ebony it’s not that hard, you have to squeeze her and hold here pauz”

“Don’t make me piss” IBB said laughing at her pauz

Down the hall were Biggadenamonsta and Playboykenx, and billyminaj. DaRealkefner was cutting hair and adding designs for people if they wanted it. He had been cutting for a while in New York so she would slay some haircut for dirt cheap.

“Yo hit this side up for me son” Chrissy (BiggaDenamonsta) said. He knew Nicki liked him with his curly hair so all he needed was a crisp lining

Billy was on the other side of the room playing Beammeup Scotty Vouging and dancing.

“Bitch you better werk” BoothieKBminaj said as he walked in the door. Playboyken automatically told him to sit his ass down because all he had on was a towel.

The kenbarbz laughed and got sneak peeks of the girls privates as they ran from room to room

“Aye did you see that other chick I forgot her name that bitch got a mashpatatoe pussy” Billyminaj said as they all laughed

All the barbs continued to get dressed and do their hair and makeup until it was time. Getting dressed 80 people took up the whole day from 6 am to 6pm. He barbs didn’t care as long as they were with the queen and there to enjoy her moment.

Safaree woke up feeling good in the Egyptian white sheets. The first person that was on his mind was his Bride. He wonder was she freaking out and if she was he wasn’t there to comfort her but he remembered she was with her mother and best friends. He took a deep breath and said

“Thank you lord for letting this day come”

Safaree got and looked in the mirror and thought to himself as he looked in the mirror

“Yo son I’m going to be married in less than 8 hours from now. I’m now a taken man. No more fucking random broads after drinking too much, no more hitting on groupies, no more acting crazy with other woman period. I got my baby and that’s all that matters. Nicki is who I chose and I will remain a faithful husband. My mother taught me everything I needed to know. Then he heard a knock on the door. Safaree walked across the room to open the door and picked up the white tee shirt on his way over to it. He cracked the door and leaned his head to the side to see who it was. It was his mother

“Hey ma!”

“Hey baby, you ready?”

“Yes momma more ready than I’ll ever be”

“Ok baby” she said while rubbing his face and looking into his eyes

“Come sit down momma”

His mother sat in the chair next to the balcony in the room. Safaree sat on the end of his bed. Safaree hung his head after he looked into his mother’s eyes across from him seeing that she was going to cry. He knew this moment would come he just didn’t know when.

“Momma let me start off by-“she cut him off

“Come here baby” safari slid off the bed and walked over to his mother than kneeled so that his head was in her lap. She rubbed his head and spoke

“Safaree baby, it was me and you for a long time. I say me and you because you are my oldest and you were my man, the man of the house, my son. I don’t want you to ever forget about me” she said crying. She could feel Safaree chest against her knees jumping from holding his cry’s in. but she could feel her skirt getting wet.

“Momma I will never forget about you, you were my first woman, and you are still my number one lady” Safaree said looking up to her with his chin still in her lap. She grasps the sides of his face and held him in place as she spoke

“Safaree from the day you 2 met I know Onika was the one for you, the way you 2 got along was extraordinary. The way she looked at you, the way you looked at her. Maybe you 2 didn’t catch it at first but it didn’t surprise me when you told me you propose an she said yes”

“So you knew already momma?”

“Yes, mothers always know, especially their sons” she said while stretching her thumbs across his eyes to wipe his tears

“Listen to me, you grew up around women so you should know mood swings and you should know how to handle them especially hers.”

“I do momma”

“Ok, well when tings blow up and fights start you know how to handle them, woman like to win. Either you let her win or you just walk away from the argument ok”

“Ok momma”

“Never touch her”

“Momma I would never! you taught me better than that. I may get mad sometimes but I never get that mad at Nicki. She may push on me but all I do is walk away. I would never touch her she is my everything. She’s like a piece of jewelry I would never get rid of. A diamond that would last forever” Safaree’s mother cried when she heard him explain the way he felt about the woman he loves

“Well look at this my bam bam knows what he wants and I’m proud and I’m proud of the beautiful daughter you are about to give me. Nicki will surely make beautiful kids, I want grandchildren Safaree.”

“I got you ma! When the time is right we will work on that”

“No Safaree don’t work on it because when you werk for it, it won’t come. That’s something that you have to let love take over and do its thing”

“Ok, mommas I love you, but can we do one more thing like we use to ma?”

“What is it Safaree?”

“Let’s pray ok”

“Ok come come” she got up and walked to the sliding doors right next to the chair she was sitting in and opened the door. She looked back and reached out for Safaree’s hand. It was almost like a flash back of him being small again. This was her last time pray with her son as him being a single man, as him belonging to her. Now he belonged to another. She told him to bow his head as they prayed a two person prayer

“Lord, I thank you for this beautiful day, this beautiful earth, this beautiful life. Lord I ask that you cover my son with your blood as he take on new challenges of being a man. He’s stepping from under my wing and reaching for his own. Lord he is your son, he’s a God fearing man, and he has a good report. I’m asking you to guide his marriage. I don’t want him to have another broken home and the broken home is his. I want you to protect his home, keep his home together. Protect his heart, protect his life, and protect his marriage. We put no other god before you o’ lord. Hear my cry!” Safaree’s mom said in tears

“God teach me to be an instrument for you, send me wisdom with age, Knowledge with every step I take good decisions with every choice I make from now on. Lord, teach me to be a better man for my wife. I’m vowing to you today to love Onika Tanya Maraj forever and protect her threw the trials and the tribulations. I’m not asking to be perfect but I’m praying that it be close to perfect. Lord I ask that you help me and my new wife grow old together, bring surprises in our lives, and for us to never get bored with each other. You gave us the point of love and I’m here to use it. Lord, I promise she will be the only woman I love in an intimate way. I bow down to you a come meek. I will never commit adultery o’ lord. I pray that Onika won’t either. She is the angel you sent to love me, so I will take my blessing and love her back lord. All these blessing we ask in your name Amen!

Safaree dropped down to his knees and cried while holding on to his mother’s waist. She looked up to the skies and said

“God is Able, always believe”

She continued to hold her son and rub his head. She knew this was a big step for him and she was excited and nervous too. She knew she had to be with her son this morning and she refused to send his father up here. Ever since Safaree was a teenager he wasn’t really there. She helped her son up handed him some tissue an held his arms and said

“Baby your barber Chris is here, I want you to get dress today, but don’t get dressed for you get dressed for your bride. She awaits you. I know you miss her after 24 hours.” She kissed his cheek

“I love you momma, tell my sisters I love them and I’ll meet them at the altar, and tell Nicki I love her for me please”

“I will Safaree just get in the tub and get dressed” she turned around then walked out the door smiling.

The Vaks then came up the stairs and gave Safaree dap. They brought their suits and accessories and everything else they needed. All of his other friends came up stairs too. All of his grooms men where in one room. They all needed haircuts and only 2 people their knew how to cut hair and that was Chris his barber and REX. They all sat their reminiscing on the bad things they did and how crazy they were. Until it was time to put on their suits

“Martin where my suit at?”

“It’s right here coon chill out, I got you today no slacking for me”

“Alright I see you today” they all laughed

“Hand it over time to get dress” Safaree said jumping around like a boxer in his polo boxers and black dress socks and white tank.

Nicki’s room was hectic.

“Nicki sit still and stop looking down trying to lurk on twitter girl it’s your wedding day” Terrence said trying to do her hair. It was hard trying to straighten her real hair bone straight so he need for her to sit still”

All of Nicki’s bride’s maids were taking pictures of her in her white half bra that held her breast up perky. And her all white thongs. Nicki only had on her jewelry which was her earrings that were 3 studded tear drops that sparkled in the light and in the dim light

“Awe look at my baby” one of Nicki’s friends said as she snapped a photo and Nicki made a funny face

“My cousin is so pretty” Julie said. One of Nicki’s cousins from Trinidad

Terrence was being careful while smoothing out the top of Nicki’s hair. He made sure no hair was out of place. He knew she was stepping into her gown so he didn’t have worries of her messing up her dress. Terrence had all of his tools laid across the dresser while day had all of her make up laid across the bed and in her apron.

Day and Terrence were in the wedding but Terrence did day hair prior to the time they arrived. Day had also had her make up done because she brought her glam crew with her. Her interns from Butterfly collective. She bought out 5 of her member Tiffany, Shay, Yolanda, Sean, Rosetta. All 5 of them worked on the bridesmaids and made them look flawless. Day taught the interns her techniques to make them better at their craft. If day needed anything she would call on one of them. Day had on a wide neck tiffany’s blue colored shirt that hung off her shoulders, day skin was Milk chocolate brown, and her hair flowed down her back with full curls that was pinned to the side so she could see. Her makeup was pink rose and shimmery red. Her cheek bones were high and she highlighted them with just a hint of blush and she had on diamond pink earrings that hung. She was beautiful.

Terrence kept working and laughing threw all of the commotion because he still had to do Carol’s hair. The bridesmaid’s hair was easy for him. He just gave them Goddess fishtail braids. Some needed extensions some didn’t.

When he finished the last pin curl, he created a master piece going onto Nicki’s hair. Nicki tweeted her barbs with her fresh French tip nails and said

@nickiminaj Thank you everybody for the wishes they mean the world to me. If yall see Safaree tweet barbs tell him I love him. 1yaslef5 until we meet again.” She sent a twit pic of her doing the kissy face with clips in her hair no makeup. And Terrence working behind her. The barb loved it and saved it into their OnikaFaree folder on their computers.

When Nicki looked up and sat up straight the bridesmaids started asking her questions again and she talked to her family and loved ones. Terrence started to create the bun on top of Nicki’s head that was made out of pin curst and black bobby pins. Terrence hands moved fast and he slightly sweated under the vanity mirror lights. As he was putting the finishing touches on Nicki’s last pin curl he held the long piece of hair in the air and bent his head down and kissed her cheek and told her in her ear

“Barbie I love you, I slayed your hair, I’m glad you chose me to do your hair. I feel so honored that you trust me with the main part of your outfit your hair”

Nicki put her hands to her mouth as she saw Terrence drop a tear. The bridesmaids awes and he says

“oh shut up, I just got a little sentimental because my Barbie looks beautiful” he said while stickin the last bobby pin in and spraying sprints for the last time to put a firm hold on her Natural hair that could easily frizz.

 He turned the chair around to shoe he Barbie her last look before she got her makeup done. She stood her little self up and walked to the mirror to get a closer look

“Well this Harajuku Barbie is sexy, POW!” she said while slapping Terrence 5 and gesturing her mom to come sit in her chair.

“Where is Safaree’s mom?” Nicki asked

“Right here” Nicki ran and gave her a hug

“My son told me to tell you he loves you and misses you, the 24 hours were rough on him he’s ready to marry you” Safaree’s mom said smiling

“Thank you for relaying that message. I got his text last night but I wasn’t allowed to replay. I love him”

“We all know that”

 The ladies laughed

“Terrence she needs her hair done too ok”

“No problem Barbie”

“Okay yall I’m finna go with day so she can do my makeup”

she looked across the room to see her Maid of honor in her soft pink dress dress and her bridesmaids in their hot pink ruffled dresses. Lauren always wanted to be different. Vincents tie matched hers and it was funny that they both were the maid of honor and the Best man.

Nicki then looked to the mothers. Nicki's mom had on a all white linen suit so she could be cool but elegant. and Safaree's mom wore a cream colored skirt suit. both of the moms hair were salt and peper from old age and curled. but they looked beautiful. nicki then sighed.

Nicki walked to the other side of the room and sat in day’s chair. As day worked her magic on Nicki’s face they laughed about the little arguments her and Safaree had and how day was the mediator of their entire situation. Nicki trusted day with all of her might and she knew day could hold water.

“Nick babe since the dress is an antique cream in doing your makeup in the song bird pink, and your lip will be nude. I’m going to put the fierce liquid black liner on your top lid and bottom lid then out line that with soft lavender purple. The look is very soft Nicki but very diva luscious.” Day knew Nicki like the back of her hand so she continued with her work.

Before she knew it another 45 minutes went by and day was putting the finishing touches on Nicki’s face. Day cut Nicki off in their convo and she told her to look, day grabbed her pink Friday mirror from her Louis Vuitton Make up carryon bag and handed it to Nicki.

“Thank you day” Nicki said with a shaky voice

“You better not cry missy, I’ve been holding mines in since I walked in here and saw you in your underwear. But it’s your wedding under wear see look now you gonna have my liner running”

Nicki held on to day as tight as she could and some of the bridesmaids ran over. Her maid of honor Lauren to her

“Nick its 5:30pm time to put on your dress and shoes and tights.”

“Omg it’s that time” Nicki said as her heart started to race and she was ready to cry. She talked to her family and friends so more before she waved them good bye to put on her dress so they could see her in it. When she got to the room she asked for day to come to with her body shimmer and she needed to ask her a question

“Day bay?”

“Yes Nicki?”

“Did you pick up my Lingerie?”

“Yes I got your sexy red lingerie”

“Wait, you got his favorite color, I could have sworn you ordered it in pink. Girl he gon eat your ass up” Lauren said

Carol walked in the room with her daughters dress. Carol was the only one to see the dress and everyone else just knew the color of it. Everybody knew that Nicki was flamboyant and very happy, but a lot of people didn’t really get to see Onika a lot. Onika was the inner her, the real her, the one Safaree sees. Onika is very mild and soft and supple, she didn’t like the very flashy things. And on her wedding day she wanted to show that with a simple but elegant dress. Her barbs never seen her in this look before because she kept it to herself. It was very personal to her. Onika was real. On her wedding day she told herself she would not lie to herself and wear something very flashy she would wear simple, elegant and pretty.

Carol laid the dress on the bed and everybody who was in the room which was Lauren and day laid their eyes upon the dress. Carol unzipped the white bag and opened it up and pulled the fully lace gown from out of the bag. Day was in awe of the scenery and Nicki looked to her left to see her reaction.

“Day don’t cry I haven’t even put it on yet”

“I know”

“Nick its beautiful, you went simple but classy, you are going to be a beautiful bride”

“Come on let’s put this stuff on baby” carol said anxious to see her bride

They slid on her shimmer stockings, while day spin around her in circles applying shimmer to her tan skin. Day then sprayed Nicki with Chloe perfume and retouched her blush. Lauren slide on her Mui Mui heels that were stoned only on the heel and the shoe was cream and suede. They were now ready for her to step into the dress. Nick balanced herself on Laurens shoulder as her mother held her waist stepping into her gown.

The dress had thin towers of lace and white beading on top of the lace. It had a straight line neck line and it hugged Nicki’s waist and a-lined towards the bottom of the dress. It touched the floor and dragged 2 feet behind her. It was tailored to her body because she was short but her heels made up for some of it.

When her mother finished buttoning up her dress, the 3 ladies stood back and Lauren pulled out her camera and she snapped photos. Then there was a knock on the door it was Terrence.

He came in and immediately started clapping and said

“You betta werk it girl” while spinning her around

“Oh before I forget” Terrence pulled out the diamond in crested small flower and placed on the side of Nicki’s bun

“Now your complete baby” he said while giving her a hug

Nicki looked like a model stepping from out of a magazine. She took off her engagement ring and prepared her finger to receive her Tiffany’s Wedding ring

“You all can I get a minute to myself please” Nicki said while smiling and slowly looking down to her dress

“Yes,” they all said in unison and left out and closed the door

Nicki looked at herself in the mirror and thought to herself

“Biotch you better werk day and Terrence put they foot in they work” she laughed to herself

“I’m Safaree’s bride I never would have thought in a million years that I would marry him and look has been on my mind for this last 24 hours. Everything I speak it has something to do with him. Yes! I’m ready to be his wife. Now let’s go show the ladies what you working with.

“Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me” Jessie said while moving thru the barbs

“Are you all ready to go to destination OnikaFaree wedding?”

“Yes” they all said in unison (the barbs)

“War start war starrrrrrrrrrt” TrebbleBarbie yelled as everybody laughed

“Alright let’s go”

“You got my rings on that red pillow?” Safaree asked his nephew while trying to tie his tie

“Yes uncle” the little boy said cheesing

“Ok. And where is Vincent”

“Awe he all caught up in his feelings” REX said

“You playin right”

“Naw nigga”

all of the grooms men had on black suits with Pink ties.

Vincent walked thru the door with a smile on his face but you could tell something was worrying him. He was the best man and he wasn’t that ready to give up his friend in marriage.

“You ready Vince” Safaree asked

“Not really but I am I just got cold feet for you”

“Awe man, you such a sucker. Help me put my cufflinks on”

“Where is your father at” one of Safaree’s grooms men ask

“You know I don’t talk to him like that”

“But it’s your wedding and he gave you that nice little speech on the dinner”

“Yeah, but he hasn’t been here. The only reason he is here is because he is my father and the lord told me to forgive. So I did. Nicki forgave her father and I forgave mine”

Vincent clipped on Safaree’s Cartier cufflinks and helped Safaree with his suit jacket and buttons.

Vincent smooth out Safaree’s jacket and stepped to the front of him. Safaree Tuxedo was all black and he wore a beet red tie. The tux was Black 2 button single breasted notch with satin lapel, made with fine Super 100's wool. He was on fire and he sprayed himself with Gucci cologne. Chris touched up his lining and he was ready to go.

 Safaree put on his patent leather Louis Vuitton shoes and tied them up. Re checked his tie and yelled to all his home boys

“Yo we got a wedding to make, Young F1 in this bitch!”

The Vaks yelled

“Fway!!!”

Safaree did the moon walk out of the room and rubbed both side of his face and slid on his black shade as he was ready to make the ride over to the beach where his wedding would be held. Trey yelled out

“You look like the men in black”

Everyone started to laugh

Nicki walked to the door after she stood in the mirror and opened the door. Everybody was first talking and her cousin was getting her 2 flower girls ready. Everybody stopped what they were doing and the photographer captured the moment. All you heard was oh my god’s and she’s so beautiful and sniffles from people crying. She knew then that the dressed she chose was absolutely the one like she thought.

“Hey what do you guys think?”

“What do you think we think” one of Nicki friends said who stay in Brooklyn with her New York accent

“Well since all of yall was speechless I’m taking that I’m drop dead amazing”

“You got that right NIKA” Diamond said

“Look at my baby” Terrence and day kept saying.

Jennifer ran in the room and told Nicki she had to go along with the rest of the women. The wedding was being ready to start. Jessie ran in the room with her flats on and her heels in her hand and screamed at Nicki

“I’ve been texting you woman to come down stairs”

“I’m sorry Jessie you can breathe” Nicki said looking at the out of breath ricin chick

“I didn’t have my phone I sat it down somewhere so I could get dress” Nicki said knowingly

“OH” Jessie said with an attitude

“Put your heels on girl today you are work free now, the wedding is finna start”

“Alright MRS.SAMUELS” Jessie yelled with a smirk on her face

“You got that right, she got my last name now, and this woman is 10 times crazier now” Safaree sister Shanequea said

“Ok ladies let’s make a move now” Jennifer said trying to be on time. But she knew working with black folk’s it was going to start a little late.

 Everybody loaded the cars and head to the Beach for the OnikaFaree wedding. Before Nicki slammed the door to the car she yelled

“IM GETTING MARRIED!!! IT’S BARBIE BITCH!!!”
